Michele has practiced as a speech language pathologist since 1995. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Northern Arizona University and her Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Long Beach. She is a certificate member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Texas.
Michele has worked with children in private practice and school settings since 2000. She is a licensed Hanen provider, with certifications in the parent programs: It Takes Two To Talk and Target Word. Additionally, she is trained in PROMPT Level 1 and TalkTools SmileProgram targeting speech, oral resting posture, oral habits, and swallowing. Michele has a special interest in working with children with speech sound disorders and has years of experience using a phonetic treatment approach with /r/ articulation disorders. Michele is also a Natural Language Acquisition trained clinician.
Michele provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of articulation, phonological, tongue thrust, receptive and expressive language, autism spectrum disorders and social pragmatic communication disorders.
