    Kitestrings Pediatric Therapy is a private practice located in a growing dynamic area, the beautiful hill country west of Austin.  We pride ourselves in providing excellence in our therapy, flexible schedules, a multi-disciplinary approach, team-oriented environment, and the ability to create and develop programs in passion areas.  We encourage therapists to use their creative talents for therapeutic intervention and personal growth. We are looking for a committed and motivated pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide a range of therapeutic services to our pediatric population. 

    An ideal candidate will have a holistic perspective and be able to adapt the environment and therapy to provide specialized, child-specific care.  Two years of experience in pediatrics is preferred, but willing to consider all applicants. Therapists who are self-starters, independent, and with excellent communication skills are a good match. Proficiency in feeding therapy would be a bonus.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform evaluations using relevant standardized tests (e.g. BOT-3, PDMS-3, Sensory Profile – 2, REAL) as well as informal assessments to create accurate and client-specific treatment recommendations and plans.
    • Select, adapt and implement the appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to best match each client’s needs.
    • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
    • Teach clients and parents new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
    • Assess client’s home and other environments and advice on adaptations consistent with their needs and capabilities (as appropriate).
    • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its proper use.
    • Guide, support, and educate family members and caregivers.
    • Maintain appropriate documentation including daily SOAP notes, progress notes, evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge notes, including progress on long- and short- term treatment goals.
    • Regularly follow-up with clients and families as needed.
    • Collaborate with therapy team.

     

    SKILLS

    • Proven working experience as pediatric occupational therapist.
    • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy including sensory processing,
    • Hands-on experience with computer programs, EMR’s, and creative media
    • Independent with pediatric evaluation tools ( e.g. BOT, Peabody, Sensory Profile, REAL)
    • Ability to manage patients and families with different types of personalities and support needs.
    • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession.
    • Professional behavior
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
    • Valid license to practice occupational therapy.
    • BS degree or greater in occupational therapy, Master's or Doctorate preferred.
    • Able to lift and manipulate pediatric therapy equipment safely.

    Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing effective treatment programs for patients with various physical and developmental conditions. This role requires the ability to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.

    Duties

    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
    • Develop and implement personalized care plans based on individual patient evaluations.
    • Utilize various therapeutic techniques, evidenced based intervention, and administration of standardized tests.
    • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for managing their conditions.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care within an outpatient setting.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
    • Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices and medical terminology to enhance patient care.
    • Comfortable creating and submitting paperwork for insurance approval.

    Experience

    • A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
    • Previous experience in pediatric settings is preferred. 2 years preferred but all applicants will be considered.
    • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • A commitment to providing compassionate care while promoting patient independence and well-being.

We are looking for a committed and motivated pediatric feeding specialist to provide a range of therapeutic services to our pediatric population. We are open to applicants with a speech-language pathology or occupational therapy background.

    An ideal candidate will have a holistic perspective and be able to adapt the environment and therapy to provide specialized, child-specific care. Two years of experience in pediatrics is preferred, but willing to consider all applicants. Therapists who are self-starters, independent, and with excellent communication skills are a good match.
