    Biography

    Amy was born and raised right here in Austin, Texas.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin, and then attended Texas Woman’s University in Houston where she received her Masters of Occupational Therapy. 

    Amy has been practicing as a pediatric occupational therapist since 2008 and has treated children in a variety of settings including outpatient, acute care, pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and the home environment.  Amy started practicing as a pediatric occupational therapist at Dell Children’s Medical Center where she gained tremendous experience working with medically fragile children.  She also worked as a developmental therapist and feeding specialist in their level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). 

    Amy has extensive experience working with a variety of diagnoses including neurological disorders, sensory processing disorder, autism, developmental delays, and pediatric feeding disorders.   

     Over the years Amy has become particularly passionate about feeding therapy.  Amy specializes in the assessment and treatment of feeding/swallowing disorders.  As a pediatric feeding specialist, Amy helps support infants, toddlers, children, and their families with feeding; with the goal of mealtimes being more enjoyable for everyone!
