Alessia Bulsara, M.Ed., LPC, RPT has a strong passion for helping to support children and their families. Alessia began her therapeutic journey at the University of Houston's College of Educational Psychology program. Once there, Alessia recognized her love and passion for working with children and families and continued working as an associate teacher in a Houston public school through her graduate school tenure. Following graduation, Alessia worked at the office of Dr. Michelle M. Forrester, gaining critical experience in individual, dyad and group play therapy. Alessia has since worked at multiple schools, one for students with neurological differences and one a Spanish immersion school, while also continuing to see clients in a private practice capacity.
Alessia most recently worked with Texas Children's Pediatrics in the Austin, Texas area, helping to support the growth of an innovative Behavior Health program, providing mental health service access to families and communities across the Austin, Texas area. Alessia is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist in the state of Texas, with additional certifications as a school counselor and school teacher.
Alessia's passion for early intervention and the importance of social, emotional and mental health support in children's growth and development is demonstrated through her continued work and care for her clients and their families. Alessia holds the firm belief that all behavior is communication, and there is no such thing as a "bad child". Through partnership with parents, schools and other care team members, Alessia strives to ensure a whole-child approach for each child and family is achieved through a tailored treatment approach.
